Technical Assistance
We offer technical assistance to any North Carolina institution of higher education or affiliated organization working towards our strategic recommendations. Whether you’re part of a college, university, or the North Carolina Higher Education Alcohol and Other Drug Wellness Coalition (NCHEW), we’re here to support you! Our assistance in alcohol and other drug-related areas is available through various channels, including email, virtual meetings, on-site visits, and more!

Professional Development
Throughout the year, we facilitate a variety of trainings focused on alcohol and other drug prevention and recovery. Our offerings include specialty trainings, webinars, and local coalition meetings. We provide CEU credits for NC Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) licenses & Certified Health Educators (CHES) on specific webinars and trainings. Best of all, all professional development opportunities are FREE for NCHEW members!

Special Projects
Mini-Grants for Substance Use Prevention Initiatives
We offer up to $5,000 in mini-grants to support campuses in launching substance use prevention strategies. Simply review the grant guidelines and apply. If you need assistance with the application process or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
National College Health Assessment Funding & Technical Assistance
NCHEC staff members are here to provide funding and hands-on assistance for the American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment. This support helps colleges and universities implement the survey effectively on their campuses. This project aims to enhance or strengthen your current programming and provide valuable data to advocate for your campus wellness needs!
